Chapter -I-

Elutuba (living room)

And so we were, me and Karin, walking down the snowy streets of Tallinn, where just recently they declared the snow record of 64cm, whereas the last record of 58cm was in year 1968. As you can see, there is a slight probability that global warming is afoot or probably just random luck...

Anyway, so we were, me and her, her and me, on our way to visit a family friend to talk about meat, drink some peppermint tea and sip at split pea soup. We were like we always were : eerily discussing about a cafe in old town that we would like to build in about 3 years. We took over the topics again of it being something that this city doesn't have. It needs something, a bendable cafe, a place where people just come for live music, culture and the atmosphere it makes. And we were half way through opening poemnights and yellow socks discount when we reached the door to Eve's apartment. Well, we talked about meat, she asked my advise on selling it to the restaurants in Tallinn and I gave her my advise. We were sipping the tea, eating the soup ... And somewhere between those 3 hours we mentioned our idea about the cafe that has been lingering in the back of the mind for quite some time... And Eve, being the woman with the right contacts, she told us something that changed our years to come. Namely, there is a possibility that by acting fast and taking some courses and having an idea goon enough, you can receive a starting money for a cafe about 70 thousand EEK. So... as we were walking again on the snowy streets of Tallinn, me and her, her and me. We realized that three years is a long long time. We decided to make our crazy plan come true right now and take these courses and open the cafe before the year is out. Now we brainstormed it all. We came up with a name, a logo( almost complete), bands, theme, kitchen, foods, drinks, everything. We even brainstormed that night that a third person should help us in the crusade. But don't take us as a lightheaded bunch, we have it all really neatly organized. Namely the all-over plan has to be ready by the middle of summer or so, for us to beg for some money :P. We have Karin(17),who is an art student. She will deal with all the designs by the end of the cafe, starting with the place , a gallery, the atmosphere and ending with small plates. We have Grete(17) who will be the one to take care of the music. Our cafe will have a lot and lot of different styles of live music following through so she will do all by finding the bands to organizing the events. We have me, Madis(19). I am the one to start the firm and go to those endless courses of firming to get the start money of 70 thousand. Also some think of me as a little bit capable of holding a frying pan (no seriously i have some tasty ideas). So I'll be the one who's going to do everything including food. Yeah, that's right, we will turn our own home into a kitchen of live-high-tech-bakery. We also have a guy (18) who's name I can't tell. He is the one (responsible) of the white web. He will design our web page. There will be music that's going to be live, pictures of cakes and cookies and all the foods that will be on sale,a way to order them, info about events, forum and happenings that this place will have a lot of different angles and moods, so it's going to change a lot. Well ,today is the 8th of January, which means that it's the second day since we made this thing into some emotions. We have a huge plan already compsed, all the assignments have been given out and we have the train running. The plan is to make this blog a weekly thing of our progress. We won't quit (many have said this so I know). We have already discussed if we wouldn't receive the inicial 70 thousand, we will try other ways, we'll try them until we can make it work.

What makes us multifunctional are mostly these points (and if you live in Estonia, you know they are in need):
poetry nights
art galleries
animals are allowed! (the logo is a dog -.-)
hundreds of different bands
take a book-leave a book
book nights
weekly themepartys
random events
homemade ale
cinema
your own designed mugs and suffold
reused furniture
random discounts ( like red tie , blue shirt, bad mood etc)
good good food(a really unreliable menu, with endlessly changing desserts.)
a bike rack
culture

oh me oh my it started to snow again...
